These days we have been listening to different oral presentations on various topics of social interest. The students have been working in pairs, researching the topics first and then discussing them with their partners. Most of them designed some nice slides that were used in class to illustrate their points and presentations. Good job, you all!
According to Teachingenglish.org.uk, presentations are a great way to have students practise all language systems areas (vocabulary, grammar, discourse and phonology) and skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening). They also build confidence, and presenting is a skill that most people will need in the world of work.
