Gamifying the History class: Greek Mythology (ESO1)

In order to find out how much the students had learnt with the presentations about Greek Gods and/or Goddesses, a card game was designed. We divided the class into four random groups; we distributed different cards with the images of the main Greek gods and Goddesses, on the one hand. On the other hand, we distributed different letters with legends and myths. The mission of our students was to assign each story its history. In each group there was a referee who watched to see that everything developed correctly. While playing, the students could put into practice what they had learnt, at the same time they evaluated their classmates and they were aware of what knowledge they had acquired and what knowledge was still in process of acquisition and therefore, what they have to work on yet (Self-assessment and Peer-assessment).
