Podcasting in my view is a great way for the students to be creative, learn and practice speaking and interacting skills; and for teachers it is a very useful tool to assess contents, knowledge and language use. The educational benefits seem to be clear: in turn, using podcasts in the classroom is not only a fun and engaging activity for students but also, a very productive one for teachers. For these reasons, this academic year we are covering some of the lexical and cultural contents of our textbook, Cambridge Global English 8, by putting them into practice in our podcasts.
After a careful planning and organising, we have already started designing our podcasts. Everyone was involved today in the "preproduction" stage!
