FINAL PRODUCT: 10 Ways You Can Make a Difference in Your Community

Our ESO4 students worked on the concept of "Community" in a Collaborative learning activity. But what is collaborative learning? It is a learning method in which two or more students learn or attempt to learn something together. First they worked in small groups and then shared the findings and thoughts with the rest of the group. All together we redefined the concept of COMMUNITY with all the contributions. The small groups contributions have been typed in different colours.

What is community for you?

WHOLE GROUP DEFINITION: It is a group of people who have something in common and work together to improve something, influencing your daily life. It is formed by the people in your environment, the people who you love and care for, the ones who share a living space with you, even if you see or stay with them only for a short period of time.

Benefits of getting involved with your community

WHOLE GROUP DEFINITION: You can help people in need and in turn, people can help you, making an impact in other people’s lifes. You live with more people so you learn to deal with other people, making you a kinder and a more sincere person so that people will like to be around you. Sharing experiences making your community more solid. Having a support system that helps you feel better with yourself. Feeling successful by making everyone feel happier while you feel good with yourself at the same time. Meeting a variety of people improving your social relationships.

Ways You Can Make a Difference in Your Community

Put up a shop. Support local commerce. Shop Local

WHOLE GROUP DEFINITION: For us, community is a group of people (you, your family and friends) who may stay together, may have a common objective, who are always there for you and with whom you always feel comfortable and safe; together with the atmosphere that forms part of one’s life.
