Poetry in the Literacy Class: Library Project

Our ESO2 students' contributions to RECYCLING VALENTINE'S DAY 

First we learnt in class about Robert Burns' Poetry using this ACTIVITY so as to introduce a creative activity later on.


After reading the poem "A Red, Red Rose", understanding words, rhyme and SIMILES, the students started to produce their own love poems using Burns' first stanza as a reference:

O my Luve is like a red, red rose

   That’s newly sprung in June;

O my Luve is like the melody

   That’s sweetly played in tune.

This activity is framed within the Library Project and the materials are all recycled. All the poems will be displayed soon together with the poems of other groups.
