Bangladesh is one of the largest clothing and textile manufacturers in the world. The Clothing and Textiles industry has been often attributed with exploitation, low wages, long working hours and violation of human rights. What do you actually know about the topic? What are your thoughts on it?

ReplyDeleteI think this is a topic that is not spoken about enough, and we never give it the importance it has. Sadly, there are many people that have to work in very precarious circumstances, not gaining enough. to maintain themselves and their families and not having enough rest. I knew about this, but I could never imagine how it feels to be in that situation, knowing that there's no other option than overwork yourself. I hope this changes someday and everyone gets a decent work with a good salary and preserving their rights.
ReplyDeleteI think these topic is somethig that a few people really think in the importance that have because we are not suffering that thing so is not our problem, we need to change that and reduce the overworking.

ReplyDeleteI already knew that Bangladesh had a big textile industry, but I didn’t know the working conditions were so bad. I think that a work that doesn’t ensure your health shouldn’t be allowed to exist.

My opinion is that they work in terrible conditions and exploiting those workers for $ 37 per month is a crime.
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about this topic, but, in my view, it is something that people usually try to ignore and leave aside. Behind many of the companies and brands we know, we can find this type of problem; people that don't have another option but to work there, that put a lot of effort in what they do, that sacrifice their whole life to maintain themselves and their families, and still they receive very little money in exchange. It must be really hard for them to wake up every morning knowing that they'll have to spend the day doing something that will exhaust them to receive such a low salary, with which they won't afford some basic needs. The most important thing is to teach the larger possible quantity of people about this, so that things start changing a bit and these workers get what they deserve. I hope that the day when these people's rights will be respected, will happen in the near future.

ReplyDeleteWell, I didn´t know anything about this topic but I think that is worrying, I find it horrible that they have to work in such bad conditions and the low salary that they have, I also think is one of the biggest problems in the world that we have to change.
