They could not use human or animal figures, so they used floral motifs pattern made up of wood, water and geometric shapes.

ReplyDeleteThe Islamic art it doesn't come from just one religion, time, place...We can find architecture, calligraphy , painting, glass, ceramics ,amoung others.They use geometric in the sculptures and also in the paintings.
ReplyDeleteThey used many arches like horseshoe arch, pointed horseshoe, multifoil arches... They used bricks and abundant decoration. They used geometric shapes, too.
ReplyDeleteI know about the Islamic Art that there are two important monuments in Spain , The Alhambra and The Mosque of Córdoba.
ReplyDeleteIt was influenced by the art of the places that they conquered. It didn't allow artist to represent the human body. They included arabesque, arches and inscriptions.

ReplyDeleteIn Islamic art they used calligraphy, painting, and they used geometric shapes too. In Spain there are several monuments such as the mosque of Cordoba or the Alcazaba of Malaga.
ReplyDeleteWhat I know about islamic art is that they used a lot the decoration and for that decoration the main characteristics were floral motifs. Also they did art with latticework and they also used water for making a pleasant atmosphere

ReplyDeleteWhat I know about the Islamic Art is that they used poor materials but with those materials they did columns, pillars and many types of arches. Also they decorated the buildings with geometric patterns and inscriptions.

ReplyDeletein the islamic art geometrical figures, water and plants were ussualy used to decorate. there were also some arches like the horseshoe arch and they used caligraphy.
The human figure was not allow to be represented. They use latticework and florals patterns. They Also used watwr forma making relaxing sounds.
ReplyDeleteThey used water as a decorative element. Since they couldn't represent humans, caligraphy, plants and geometrical patterns were very present. Horseshoe and lobbed arches were frequently used in architecture, as well as latticework.
