    -What did the Tin Man need to be "all right again"?
    He said that he needs to get an oil-can and oil him joints.

    -In this context, what are joints?
    In this context it means that you oil your neck, your arms, your legs...

    -What did the Scarecrow wanted Oz to do?And how about Tin Woodman?
    The Scarecrow wanted Oz to give him a brain and the Tin WoodMan wanted a heart.

    The tin man needed to have his joints oiled in order to be able to move them well and be all right again.


    -In this context, what are joints?
    Joints are the point where two artificial structures meet, but they are also where two bones are connected. In this context, since Tin Woodman is a man but he is made of artificial materials too, it could mean both things. The author here intended to make a play on words.

    -What did the Scarecrow wanted Oz to do? And how about Tim Woodman?
    The Scarecrow wanted Oz to give him a brain, whereas Tim Woodman wanted him to give him a heart.

    The joints for the tin man are the points un his body where his legs and arms are joined to his body, as well as in a human.

    The Tin Tan needs a heart to be in love again of the Munchkin girl, because someone without a heart isn´t able to love. I think he also needs some oil for his joints. In my opinion, both answer are posible.
    - In this context, what are joints?
    With this expression, I think that the author refers to the different structures (gears, sprockets, etc..), that join the extremities of the Tin Man.
    -What did the Scarecrow wanted Oz to do? And how about Tim Woodman?
    The Scarecrow wanted Oz to give him a brain. In the other hand, the Tin Man wanted a heart.
