OBJECTIVES:

 The students will find out about democracy and dictatorships as forms of government.

 The students will look at how leaders might abuse their power.


OUTCOMES:

 The students will take part in a class experience about democracy and dictatorship.

 The students will consider their opinion about forms of government. 

The students with this activity will become independent enquirers, creative thinkers and team workers


SESSION 1: INTRODUCTION TO THE TOPIC



SESSION 2: From Democracy to Dictatorship

 





Dr. Evil and propaganda 
One citizen decides to object to the regime and is put under arrest by the secret policewoman. 


Dr. Evil announces imprisonment without trial for the citizen who refused to obey. 

The dictatoress announces her plans. 

Dr. Evil seats at her thrown, which reaffirms her power.

COMPARE AND CONTRAST ESSAY



After explaining the students the characteristics of a compare and contrast essay and providing them with the necessary scaffolding tools, we can now finish this session by writing. The students can write their essays now.
