Book Club work: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Science
Our book club can be a great opportunity to learn about other subjects, like science, or geography, or history, for instance. On this case, we started off acquiring knowledge about cyclones with a listening activity.
In addition to this, our students can also experiment with the fictional world they are reading about. Take as an example for instance this hands on activity in which they had to practice PROCEDURAL TEXTS by either explaining how to recreate a cyclone or tornado or actually doing it and showing off ;)
