Language Skills in Science: Vertebrates

Vertebrates: a co-teaching lesson that is full of a kind of magic!

Co-teaching is an instructional approach where two or more teachers work collaboratively to plan, deliver, and assess instruction for different and diverse groups of students. That is exactly what Marina and Victoria do ever week. It is important to note that the success of co-teaching may vary depending on the specific context, the teachers involved, and the needs of the students. In this particular case, it works really well since flexibility, open communication, and a willingness to adapt maximise the benefits of co-teaching in any given situation.

This lesson has been entirely devote to developing listening and talking notes skills: taking notes is a valuable language strategy in secondary education as it promotes active engagement, organization, personalised understanding, retrieval practice, serves as a reference for study, enhances listening and critical thinking skills, and facilitates collaboration among our students.
