Among the many different activities our 4th Year students have done while reading their book, Pride and Prejudice, there are some with which they have worked on empathy. For example, reflecting on Georgiana's affair with Wickham, they have thought about what they would do if a sister ran off with a man they didn't trust. Here we are some of their opinions.
When Darcy found Wickham in London after having run off with Lydia, he persuded him to marry her. Our students have put themselves in Darcy's shoes and imagined his conversation with Wickham. Here is an example.
Finally, Elizabeth would become Mrs Darcy. Here we have some letters written by our students pretending to be her. They are addressed to Mrs Bennet (to tell it is not possible for her to come to Pemberly), to Lydia (to give her some advice and enclose some money) and to Mrs Gardiner (to invite her to stay at Pemberley).
