Incorporating renewable sources and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the classroom is a valuable way to educate our students about the importance of sustainability, environmental responsibility, and global development. Our Science teacher, Dr. Victoria Merino Puerto emphasised the importance of individual actions in achieving sustainable development.
A cross-curricular and interdisciplinary approach has been used to tackle this problem in different groups by involving subjects like science, geography, social sciences with our teacher Mr, Justo Javier Pérez in co-teaching lessons too about circular economy, and in Literacy in ever single class of the British Council Programme. By integrating renewable sources and the SDGs into the classroom, working together from different angles can foster a sense of environmental responsibility and empower our students to become agents of positive change in the pursuit of sustainable development.
