Are you ready for Halloween?
We are excited to announce a "Horror Story Contest" as part of your Literacy class and the Library Project! This contest will be an opportunity for you to showcase your storytelling skills and creativity. Below the poster are the guidelines to help you prepare for the contest!
Contest Details
THEME: You will write a "horror story" based on an image/photograph and a first line for your story that will be provided by your Literacy teachers and our Literacy Adviser.
TEMPLATE: You must write your story on a "spooky template" of your choice. The design of the template is completely up to you, so feel free to get creative!
IMPORTANT!!!!!You MUST bring your own prepared template on the day of the contest. Ensure that it is ready and suitable for writing your story on it and for presenting your story. Here's an example of a template:
WRITING STYLE AND TEXT TYPE: You must write a Narrative text. What is a narrative text?

Contest Categories
1. BEST SHORT STORY: The main focus will be on narrative skills. We will evaluate how well you write your story, including the plot, characters, suspense, and overall structure.
2. BEST DESIGN & CREATIVITY: This category will focus on how creative and imaginative you are with both the presentation of your story and the way you use your template. The design should reflect the eerie and chilling nature of the story.
Contest Venue
The contest will take place in the School Library. Make sure to arrive prepared with your materials on the scheduled day.
ASSESSMENT: Participation in this contest is not only for fun but also part of your classwork, so it is compulsory. You will receive a grade based on your story's quality and creativity.
