Catering for diversity in our classroom is essential to ensure that all students, regardless of their background, learning needs, or abilities, can thrive. When we speak of diversity, it encompasses not just cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic differences, but also cognitive diversity, which includes the varying academic capabilities of our students, such as high-achievers. What is more, high-achieving students (often referred to as gifted or advanced learners) require tailored teaching to reach their full potential. We have various samples of how we tailor our teaching for them. Click here.
For all the above mentioned, it is crucial to address their needs for the following reasons, mainly:
- Maximising Potential.
- Preventing Disengagement.
- Fostering Inclusivity.
- Supporting Social-Emotional Development:.
- Creating Lifelong Learners.
We have Plan for High-Achievers in our #AlQaReading Book Club since we strongly believe our #AlQaReading Book club can be an excellent platform for high-achieving students to explore literature at a deeper level, fostering in this way their intellectual growth and critical thinking skills.
