Sketchnoting: Acid Rain #coteaching

Many students (and too many teachers too) think that either they can't draw and/or drawing doesn't belong in the classroom. In this co-teaching lesson we showed them otherwise so now the door to a more creative and fulfilled academic performance is open since sketchnoting has actually many pedagogical benefits for the students, including the development of critical thinking, increased memory, and enhanced listening skills.

We sketchnoted (I did it in the whiteboard; our students on their notebook) a video about Acid Rain.

While we we were watching the video we were all taking notes, sketch notes. We paused it a few times so our Science teacher, Ms. Victoria Merino, could shine a light on some complex concepts described in the video.

Then, our Language Assistant, Ms. Skai Williams had some comprehension questions ready to be posed to our students!

We all had the feeling that learning was in the air this morning. And we all felt good.
