Carousel Brainstorm: The Early Middle Ages in Europe
In this co-teaching activity, our students are working in groups and rotating through different stations. Each station focuses on a topic from the Early Middle Ages in Europe. At every station, the different groups need to brainstorm ideas, answer guiding questions, and add information to the worksheet provided by Susana González.
When the time is up, the groups move clockwise to the next station and continue with another topic.
As for the group Organization, each member of the group has a specific role:
• Coordinator: Keeps track of time and ensures everyone participates.
• Recorder: Writes down the group’s ideas clearly and neatly.
• Spokesperson: Shares the group’s ideas when the teacher asks.
• Materials Manager: Makes sure everything (markers, sheets) is ready and tidy.
• Researcher / Content Checker: Verifies the accuracy of the information and connects ideas with the textbook or previous lessons.
