PROCESS: The concept of COMMUNITY analysed in the Literacy 4 Class (students' ideas/opinions/concepts)

Our ESO4 students worked on the concept of "Community" in a Collaborative learning activity. But what is collaborative learning? It is a learning method in which two or more students learn or attempt to learn something together. First they worked in small groups and then shared the findings and thoughts with the rest of the group. All together we redefined the concept of COMMUNITY with all the contributions. The small groups contributions have been typed in different colours.

What is community for you?

SMALL GROUPS CONTRIBUTIONS: Group of people who share a living space. It is everyone who influence in your daily life. It is formed by the people in your environment, even if you see or stay with only for a short period of time. A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common and work together to improve something. A community is formed by the people who take part on your life and the people with whom you form relationships and the people who you love and care. A group of people who live in a determined place where they try to make different activities

WHOLE GROUP DEFINITION: It is a group of people who have something in common and work together to improve something, influencing your daily life. It is formed by the people in your environment, the people who you love and care for, the ones who share a living space with you, even if you see or stay with them only for a short period of time.
