Book Club Reading Task: Chapters 21–24
Read chapters 21, 22, 23 and 24 carefully. Then, write a short summary of these chapters on a separate piece of paper. Your summary must answer this question: What are chapters 21–24 about?
When you finish:
1. Take a clear picture of your summary.
2. Upload the picture to Google Classroom.
3. Hand in your paper copy to your teacher for correction.
Remember: How to write a good summary
Use the FINGERS summary method to help you organise your ideas:
- Write one sentence explaining what these chapters are mainly about.
- Say who the main character or characters are.
- Explain what the character or characters want.
- Describe the big problem or conflict in these chapters.
- Explain how the problem changes, improves or is solved.
- Say how these chapters end.
Important reminders
- Use your own words.
- Write clearly and neatly.
- Do not copy long sentences from the book.
- Check your spelling, capital letters and full stops before handing it in.
