Today, on #WorldRareDiseaseDay, we want to shine a light on those who truly matter: the individuals and families who live every day with a rare diagnosis. Behind every case there are stories of strength, resilience, and hope that deserve full support, understanding, and greater awareness and visibility.
In our co-taught Science lesson, our Year 4 students have been researching different rare syndromes to raise awareness. Through their work, they have not only deepened their understanding but also reached a shared conclusion: greater investment in research is urgently needed.
The students were asked to check the reliability of their sources using the CRAAP Test.
Let us keep moving forward together, strengthening empathy and our collective commitment. Because being rare does not mean being any less important or any less deserving of attention and resources.
