What do you think of the Delicate China People?
What does Baum, the author of the book, seem to be saying about the only people in Oz to have a church?
Héctor Álvarez Luengo
Delicate China people represents Kings, Queens, nobility even peasants. I think they are very "normal" and polite people. I don't know what does it refer to the churches.
Paula Bote Andrada
I think the Delicate China People are just trying to live a normal life, so in my opinion them getting mad with the main characters, big and destructive intruders to their land, is a justified reaction. The china Princess also mentions how she does not want to break because she would not look pretty after being mended, while several lines later she mentions that she does not want to exit her country, as she would not be able to talk or move freely. So, it seems that China people care a lot about both and living a calm and free life without much complications. It's also worth noting that the name China refers to the material but also can be referencing the country and further cultural or political connotations, which I do not know much about.
Clara Campos Portillo
The lovely China Country beyond the white porcelain wall is the most unique place in all of Oz, because its inhabtants, the tiny little people who live within are made entirely of china glass and are said to be no bigger than a baby-doll, I think they are super cute.
Though secular, it encompasses many mythological motifs that occur in religious stories. Dorothy's life experiences and the people she meets may teach us the lessons needed on our own spiritual journey.
Irene Campos Portillo
What do I think of the Delicate China People? They are small people who have no arms and prevent them from passing to The Wizard of Oz
María de las Nieves Canales González
They are very cute, the man is not very religious since the only church that was there was broken by the lion.
Agustín Cortés Matas
The china people are very scared but they are good people even though of his weak courage.
I am not sure because the lion smashed the church of the China people and maybe it refers that the author it is not a religious person
Clara Díaz López
I think that although they can live free in their world they are not really happy not being able to get out of there and having the means that if they break and fix them they will no longer be as beautiful as they used to be.
What does Baum, the author of the book, seem to be saying about the only people in Oz to have a church? He is saying that the people in oz are weak
Noa Durán Casares
I think that the Delicate China People are very beautiful, although being so fragile they are afraid of breaking and they have to be very careful.
I think that Baum is not a religious person since the only churh that was there was destroyed by the lion.
Alejandro García Garrido
This tiny people seemed kinda cute, being so fragile and knowing it but doing normal stuff as milking it's just unrealistic.
What does Baum, the author of the book, seem to be saying about the only people in Oz to have a church? They are fragile and weak, to believe in a superior god makes them silly and inferior, the faith of this people is useless.
Ángel Manuel García Garrido
I think that the Delicate China People are very scared although they're good people, fear is very strong.
Maybe the author just wants to tell us that religion is something very weak and that we shouldn't trust so much in something as weak as chinese porcelain.
Adrián González Pérez
What I think about the china people is that are very good people even though they have a weak courage.
I think that Baum, the author of the book, is not a religious person.
Gloria González Skender
From my point of view, the Delicate China People are very creative, because they have bright coloured houses in their little town. They also seem to me very cute. After reading what the little china princess said of being repaired, I guess that some of the brittle inhabitants of that town are flirty and posh.
In my opinion, what Baum wants to say us about the only people in Oz of having a church is that they all are very perfeccionist and careful with what they do. I also think that Baum wanted to transmit us that they are very different from other people; they have a lot of different colours decorating their city. And because of this, they have built a wall, so no one can come into their town.
Pablo Luis Muñoz
I think that they are cowards.
He is not a Christian because he destroys the church.
Pablo Muñoz Milán
My opinion is that the China people seem very fragile but at the same time very beautiful.
The author Baum says that when the lion jumped the wall it fell on the church and broke it as it was all fragile.
David Palacios Krenz
They are very beautiful and also fragile.
He is not very religious because he destroyed the only church that the city have.
Víctor Manuel Polo Redondo
The China people are very scared but in fact they are good people even though of his weak courage.
I didn't really understand why the lion smashed the church of the china people.
Ángela Quijada Collado
When I read it, I was impressed with the Delicate China People because they were made entirely of porcelain (which is very delicate) and they were also very small, it's very cute. It reminds me of the collection of dolls that my grandmother had in town as a gift from her mother, and we still have them.
Marta Vicho Vega
I think that although they can live free in their world they are not really happy not being able to get out of there and having the means that if they break and fix them they will no longer be as beautiful as they used to be.
